口語式短文：我學會游泳了

I learned how to swim :

•  I learned how to swim! This is probably my biggest achievement in this summer.

• 我學會游泳了！這大概是我這次暑假最大的成就。

•  At first learning how to swim was not included in my summer plan.

• 學會游泳本來並沒有在我的暑假計畫內。

•  Two weeks ago, mom as planned went to Malaysia to attend a week-long academic conference.

• 兩週前，媽按預定計畫去馬來西亞參加為期一週的學術研討會。

•  Dad should have taken care of me but unexpectedly he received a notice telling him to attend four consecutive days’ meetings convened by Tai Ex.

• 爸本來要負責照顧我的，但他突然收到要去證交所連續開四天會議的通知。

•  So he could not but take me back to grandpa’s cottage at Mei-Nong to be taken care of by my maternal grandparents.

• 所以他只好把我送回美濃老家，給阿公、阿媽照顧。

•  But my grandparents had to take care of Shirley and John, too. So we went to Kaohsiung and stayed there.

• 但因為阿公、阿媽又得照顧Shirley和John，所以我們就去高雄住。

•  Shirley and John enrolled in a swimming class this summer. So grandma took me together with them to the swimming pool to take some lessons.

• Shirley和John這個暑假有報名參加游泳班，所以阿媽就帶我和他們一起去上幾次課。

•  When mom and dad came back, they found that I had learned how to change breath. They decided to let me continue my swimming lessons.

• 爸媽回來後看到我已經會換氣了，就讓我繼續學。

•  Now I can swim breaststroke over 50 meters.

• 我現在已經會用蛙式游超過50公尺了。
