口語式短文:觀測日偏蝕

Watch partial solar eclipse :

•  There was a solar eclipse in the past Wednesday morning. My maternal grandma took Shirley, John and me to watch it.

•  We came to the National Science and Technology Museum, and stood in line to enter the briefing room.

•  John and I were not interested in this kind of activity. We grumbled with one voice, “There's nothing good to see!”

•  In fact, we would like to go to swimming class. Swimming was much more enjoyable than standing here.

•  Grandma ridiculed us with patience, “Why the long face!”

•  After hearing the briefing, we walked outside to watch the eclipse. The sky had already become dimmer.

•  I assumed it was because the sun was covered by the clouds. But in fact it was covered by the moon.

•  We took turns to view the sun through solar eclipse glasses. I saw there was a big bite out of the sun.

•  Just now the narrator had told us we could observe only partial solar eclipse here. If there was a total solar eclipse, the bright day would become dark night!
