Trips to Japan :
I have been to Japan three times. The first time was when I was in the summer before junior kindergarten I went to Tokyo with my parents.
I was not yet four years old at that time, so I was admitted free into the Tokyo DisneySea Park. It's a pity that I was too young for most of the games. I only get impressions of the volcano in the park.
We had also visited the Ghibli Museum and Sanrio Puroland -- a Hello Kitty theme park. But I thought the most entertaining place was the JR Transportation Museum.
The second time I went to Japan was in the June before I attended the elementary school. Mom took me to Hokkaido. Although it was near summer time, we still could see patches of residual ice on the roadside.
We had strolled the Otaru Canal, enjoyed the sight of beautiful seas of tulip flowers, and paid a visit to the Hell Valley of Noboribetsu to watch the landscape of terrestrial heat. But I was most pleased with the experience of taking a helicopter to have a bird's eye view of Lake Toya from high above in the air.
The third time I went to Japan was when I was in the summer before third grade I went to Kyushu with my family. Shirley and John had joined me, too.
The first night we stayed at Huis Ten Bosch. There were canals and windmills over there. The scenery was wonderful.
We had an intriguing experience of paying a visit to the smoke-laden crater lake of Mount Aso. Grandpa said that the lake water was real hot spring water. It's a pity we couldn't soak ourselves in the hot water down there.
That night we stayed at yurts in Aso Farm Village. It felt very special. My first experience of riding a horse was at the farm. John and I rode on one horse together. We really enjoyed ourselves!
